Q: What type of hair do you use for fusion extensions?
A: HAIL THE HAIR KING uses the finest quality human hair available. Donna Bella Milan, So.Cap, Ultratress and Cinderella Hair are some of the suppliers he gets his fusion hair extensions from.
Q: How long will my fusion hair extensions last?
A: Depending on how fast your own hair grows, they should last up to approximately 4-6 months. This time may be decreased if recommended hair products and are not used and if you don't follow "Care and Maintenance" instructions.
Q: Will my fusion hair extensions damage my hair?
A: NO! As long as you follow the "Care and Maintenance" instructions! You must brush 2-3 times a day and manually separate tangling at the bonds to reduce matting.
Q: Will fusion hair extensions make my hair thinner?
A: NO!! It is normal for the average person to lose approximately 100 hairs per day. When you have fusion hair extensions in, this hair becomes trapped inside of the bonds until the fusion hair extensions are removed. Because of this you may notice a large amount of hair being brushed out at the time of removal. Not to worry!!!! This is normal hair loss. Remember, this is 4-6 months of hair loss all being combed out at once.
Q: What products should I be using to maintain my fusion hair extensions?
A: Professional, sulfate free products ONLY. Hair extensions may not last if recommended hair products are not used.
Q: What can I use when styling my fusion hair extensions?
A: You can still style your fusion hair extensions using tools that you usually would, but with caution. When using curling irons, flat irons, or blow dryers, be careful near the bond attachment area. Excessive heat concentrated on the attachment bond may cause the adhesive to soften. It is recommended to use a cool setting when blow drying your hair.
Q: How do you match my hair color? Do you have to color the fusion hair extensions to match my hair?
A: HAIL THE HAIR KING carries a large variety of colors and it is unnecessary to custom color fusion hair extensions. We always use a blend to make the fusion hair extensions match your hair perfectly.
Q: How long will it take to install my fusion hair extensions?
A: Fusion hair extensions can take approximately 3-4 hours to apply a full head.
Q: Is there a deposit required to apply my fusion hair extensions?
A: Yes. A non-refundable deposit of half the service is required to book and hold your appointment. Once your deposit has been received your hair selected will be ordered for your appointment!
Q: How much is removal of my fusion hair extensions?
A: Removal of Fusion hair extensions is $149 per hour, depending on the amount of fusion hair extensions attached at time of removal. This includes removal of the fusion hair extensions, wash, deep conditioning, and styling afterwards. If you are getting a new head of fusion hair extensions right away from HAIL THE HAIR KING, removal is complimentary.
General Care
Do not shampoo your hair for 48 hours after your hair extension service, including initial and maintenance services. This will give enough time for the bonds to settle and ensure that your extensions will not slide out through premature contact with cleansing chemicals.
Brushing
Brush your hair twice a day using the brush provided which is specifically designed for hair extensions. Do not use hard brush strokes. Separate your applied strands using your fingers and slowly brush close to the scalp. This will avoid matting in this area. Do not use a hard bristled brush. This may cause the extension strands to slip out. Use a wide toothed comb to gently remove tangles from mid-strands to hair ends. Do not use a comb near the scalp area and the bonds.
Styling
Curling irons, Flat Irons and hot rollers may be used on hair extensions, but keep them at least an inch away from the hair bonds. Never use a hair dryer on high heat close to your scalp.
Shampooing
Do not use products that contain sulphur, such as dandruff shampoos. Use recommended PUREOLOGY products that are especially designed to improve the condition of your
hair extensions.
When showering, tilt your head back and cleanse from the top of the head downward. Avoid facing your head downward. Condition using PUREOLOGY and de-tangle only from mid-strand to end, avoiding the
scalp area.
After showering, immediately dry the base area thoroughly to avoid bond breakdown. Avoiding drying in a scrubbing motion. If using a blow dryer, use a medium to low heat and finish with a cool shot
once the hair is completely dry.
